Welcome to Australasia's longest established non-university based Graduate Certificate and Graduate Diploma program in Implant Dentistry, also crediting towards an extension option for a Master of Science Degree in Advanced Dental Implantology. The EduQual Diploma in Implant Dentistry (SCQF Level 11) is a part time qualification programme awarded by EduQual, a regulated awarding body in the UK. It provides part-time education and qualification opportunities with reduced disruption to your practice. The qualification is regulated by Qualifications Scotland Accreditation. It has been credit-rated by EduQual for the SCQF (Scottish Credit and Qualifications Framework) at SCQF Level 11, which is comparable to a Level 7 qualification on the Regulated Qualifications Framework (RQF). Holders of this qualification may use the achieved award postnominals, Grad Cert (Imp Dent) or Grad Dip (Imp Dent).

The programme is delivered as a blend of:

Online learning via tutor-supported online learning in our dedicated VLE (Modules 1, 3, 4, 5; Module 6 for Beginner Pathway)

Face-2-face practical training (Module 2) in-person (Perth, WA); and
-
Tutor-supported clinical casework (Beginner's Pathway); or Prior Clinical Cases Submission (Experienced Implant Clinician Pathway).​​

All learners complete the online and practical components. In terms of the clinical component, there are two pathways available: Beginner's Pathway and Experienced (Implant) Practitioner Pathway. Delegates on the Experienced Practitioner Pathway must:
- be currently placing and restoring implants
- have had at least 2 years of experience in implant dentistry
- have previously treated at least 20 implant cases

The Grad Dip (Imp Dent) is a 120 credit regulated and accredited qualification. The Grad Cert (Imp Dent) is a 90 credit regulated qualification.

TERM 3 - All Certificate & Diploma learners (Sept 2026 intake: April 2027 - June 2027) (Jan 2027 intake: Jul 2027 - Sept 2027)
Module 6**: Treatment Planning (online delivery, followed by supervised 3 x case submission requirements with an absolute maximum deadline of 5 years; 2 years deadline is recommended and is a requirement for MSc application.)**
** Delegates on the Experienced Practitioner Pathway can instead submit 6 Case Reports of their own past cases for Module 6.​​​

Postgraduate Award Course Fees
Registration Securing Fee/Link is paid first to secure your spot in either the Grad Cert or Grad Dip program - A$1,500+GST.

Graduate Certificate in Dental Implantology - Registration Security Fee of A$1,500+GST plus remainder tuition fee of A$17,300+GST, paid in 2 instalments of A$8,650+GST, before course commencement and then at 5 weeks after course commencement.*

Graduate Diploma in Dental Implantology - Registration Security Fee of A$1,500+GST plus remainder tuition fee of A$25,950+GST*, paid in 3 instalments of A$8,650+GST, before course commencement, then at 4 and 10 weeks after course commencement.*​​

Payment Plans are also available after the registration securing fee: $1690 per month for 12 months for Grad Cert, $2500 per month for 12 months for Grad Dip, inclusive of GST and payment plan admin fees*.

*The course fees cover the Theory Components and the Practical Skills Hands-on Component. For the Clinical Component, Patient treatment fees (minus lab and implant expenses) are forwarded to your individual Clinical Tutor who mentors and directly supervises your procedures in your region. These are standard dental treatment fees from the patient that are forwarded to the Tutor. Some dentists which to subsidise the patient's fees as an incentive. Students are also able to nominate a suitable Mentor who they work with to be accredited for the purpose of supervising their cases.

*The optional 6 Day Advanced Implant & Grafting extracurricular module can be incorporated included in the PGDip payment plan at only $850 extra per month, only available to our PGDip students: totalling $3350 per month for 12 months.

Master of Science in Advanced Dental Implantology - The related course fee, following the PGDip requirements and fees, is £15,000 (no VAT) which can be paid over 3 instalments, at the start of each term, direct to Aston University.

Master of Science in Implant Dentistry
To enrol for the Grad Cert/Grad Dip (Imp Dent) award programs of the Cambridge Academy of Dental Implantology in partnership with The Implant Institute, you require an active registration to practice in Australia or New Zealand, and a minimum of 12 months experience as a dentist. No implant experience is necessary. Learners from other countries, please contact us for options.

High level of competency in English is required (please see below) if English is not your first language. Proof of English proficiency may be provided through previous professional positions, study, or other means.
Entry into the Graduate Diploma program is available both directly and to those who have completed the Graduate Certificate level as an extension (with exemptions applied).
You can secure your registration for either the Grad Cert or Grad Dip program with a $1500 AUD security fee on our registration page. ​

MSc (Imp Dent)
Following PGDip requirements being met with a minimum 60% grade on all modules, application can be made to study for a research project and dissertation based MSc in Advanced Dental Implantology via Aston University. As selection is selective with limited places, an interview may be required. Currently the MSc program is a 1-year add on course to the PGDip program.
